Simply put, clear communication between all of your health care providers. By providing Physical Therapy and Chiropractic care in one facility, frequent communication improves efficiency and effectiveness in getting you better.
Usually, adjustments do not hurt and often times give immediate relief. Our chiropractors’ goal is to make the adjustments as effective and comfortable as possible. Depending on how serious a patient’s condition may be, some may feel temporary discomfort that disperses quickly and is followed by relaxation. Soreness can also be present the day after an adjustment and is often compared to “work out” soreness. Side effects can vary, but are usually minimal.
Our clinics accept most insurance plans. Call your insurance provider to understand your chiropractic health benefits.
No. Chiropractors are considered first contact physicians. After the history intake and physical examination, our doctors will determine a diagnosis and will either consult with the patient about chiropractic treatment or refer the patient to an appropriate health care provider.
No. X-rays will only be ordered if it is determined they are medically necessary for diagnostic purposes.
Many things in life require maintenance and attention…the body is no exception. Do you need an appointment every week for the rest of your life? Absolutely not. Each person’s history, daily routines and physical traits differ and so will their health care. Our chiropractors believe that everyone should be in control of their own health and wellness. Chiropractic can be a helpful part of your medical “team”. It can help to provide you with the healthy and full life you wish to live by reducing recurrence of existing health injuries and minimizing new injuries. Total wellness is the goal.
Yes. Chiropractic is a safe and effective form of conservative health care. Statistics show that patient risk is substantially lower with chiropractic than with alternative methods such as drugs or surgery. This is based on the fact that chiropractic is natural and reactions are much more predictable than reactions to drugs.
After completing a patient intake form, the chiropractor will take you to an exam room where a comprehensive history and physical examination will be performed. Your condition and plan of care will be explained and all questions will be addressed. Most conditions are resolved within a short treatment period but all conditions are different. You will NEVER be asked to sign up for a long-term treatment plan at the onset of your care. Our goal is to help you attain and maintain wellness with the least amount of chiropractic care necessary.
Chiropractic adjustments (or manipulations) can be performed in different ways. Our chiropractors use both low force adjustments (drop table, activator and motion assisted) or highly precise movements delivered manually. Choice of adjustment type is explained in the initial visit and depends greatly upon each patient’s case and presenting symptoms. This variety allows our chiropractors to resolve impairments while still giving the patient maximal comfort.
